Menurut Martin Wagner, ramalan Jucelino untuk tahun 2007 tidak benar-benar terjadi, meskipun untuk tahun-tahun sebelumnya ada ramalan yang menjadi kenyataan, misalnya peristiwa 9/11 dan Tsunami di Aceh. Martin membuat kesimpulan tersebut setelah membandingkan data gempa dari Earthquake Hazards Program dengan ramalan Jucelino.
